Ike - in a Tiger suit he won at the Pug Gala Raffle!

Seattle Pug Rescue would like to thank everyone who attended the 2004 Pug Gala.

The Gala was a success all the way around…we netted approximately $10,000, which was a big increase over previous years!  That money will help us take care of the medical needs of an increasing number of pugs coming into rescue.

As you know, we were attempting to break The Guinness Book of World Records for the “Largest Gathering of Pets”.  We had over 700 pugs attend the event!  Although we did not break the record, we are hoping that the success of the Pug Gala will inspire Guinness to create a new category just for Purebred Dogs!!

We would like to extend a special thank you to PugPalace.com, which sponsored the Gala and generously donated all of the wonderful prizes for the races and contests.

We'd also like to thank all our vendors, including Pug Manor, Lil Critters Pet Photography, Best Friends Photography, Noisy Dogs Studio, and Italio the Pug Painter. Special thanks to All the Best Pet Care, for making a donation even though they were unable to be there as a vendor this year.  In addition, we had some wonderful information booths this year - Seattle Purebred Dog Rescue and the Puget Sound Pug Dog Club. Kudos go out to them as well.

Extra special praise goes out this year to all the companies, stores and individuals who contributed items for our raffle.  We had some really great stuff and had the most successful raffle in Pug Gala history!

Last but certainly not least,  we would not be able to put on this huge event each year without our faithful volunteers.  "Pug Hugs" go all of you who helped to make this such a successful event.

We hope to see all of you again next year for another awesome Seattle Pug Gala!
