Winnie Pooh A fun loving,
spirited girl Winnie
Pooh is a two-year-old female with lots of energy. She is potty trained.
She loves to play tug a war with her puggy foster
brother and is very sweet with all of her foster siblings, unless food is
around. She’s a bit of a diva and
things that all food belongs to her and gets a little aggressive & piggy. Her foster family can keep her under
control with commands and strict routine. She has lots of energy.... she
would be a great little hiker. Because
of her food aggression, Winnie will be placed in a home without
children. The ideal family for her is
one who is willing to follow the strict routine she needs or has no other
dogs. |

Sampson
Don't let my age fool you! I am a young 9 years old, full of energy and
curiousity. I spent a lot of my former life living outside, so I have had a
lot to learn how to be a nice dog inside. To help me learn to be
housetrained and have nice manners, SPR is kind enough to allow me to live
with a fantastic dog trainer so I can have intensive one-on-one training
with her. Once I graduate, I will be ready for a home of my own. I am a
very nice gentleman, get along well with other dogs and really just want to
please my people. I will need people who are willing to help me reach my
full adorable pug potential! Could this be you?

Are you looking for a dog who
will easily fit into your life and reward you with lots of love? If
so, then Scooter is the pug for you! He is a very sweet and mellow older guy who happens to be
blind. He's not your typical pug full of energy and always demanding
your attention. He just wants to lay at your
feet or in his bed and be near his people. He is fully housetrained,
but needs help finding his way outside and back in again. He loves to
sleep in his bed while you are at work. He knows several commands and he's great on a leash. He
loves his toys and treats. He gets frightened easily because of his
blindness, so he would do well in a home without small children. He
gets along great with cats. Scooter is a Helping Hands dog! This means SPR will cover all of his
medical bills – forever!

feels like doing what you want him to do, but if his mind is to do something
else he can get stubborn. He isn't very active, but he does like
to play with his toys. He could take or leave the other dogs in his
foster home. |

Jake
Jake
is a 6-month-old male who suffered an injury in the past that left him with
only three legs and some loss of vision in his left eye but is otherwise
happy and healthy. He is a fantastic little guy whose injuries do not
slow him down. He loves to go to the dog park, chew on bones, and play
with his foster brother but mostly he loves to snuggle.
Jake gets along with all size dogs and cats and would do well as a single
dog or as part of a pack. He is house broken and crate trained but
needs some work on commands but has quickly learned “come” and “sit”.
He is extremely laid back and relaxed and would be a wonderful addition to
any family.

Sidney
Hello mate. My name is Sydney. I'm a good looking and charming 4 year old boy. I have been working on housetraining and obedience training and proving to be a good student. I have been in a couple homes during my short life and have a luxated patella - so would like a person who will take me to the park and let me hang out, has a home without lots of stairs that I have to climb, and will provide a nice place for me to sleep and remember to buy me chew bones. |
ADOPTION FEE: $350 |

Dutch
Dutch is a 6 year old male. Sweet and outgoing. Gets along with
other pugs and same size dogs - but has an extreme dislike of bigger dogs
and cats. Dutch came into the rescue a little thin (an oddity for
pugs) but is putting on weight and is otherwise is good health. *ADOPTION FEE $250.00* |

Roxy and Harley These two are a pair and need to stay together. Roxie gets upset when she is not around Harley. They have been raised together which explains that. Roxie is a black female, very energetic and loving. Harley is the same but a little over weight but he is working on that now with his foster home. They love to play with the three children next door. These two need to stay together. If you are looking for a pair of pugs, these are the ones for you. Both are adorable. |

Butch is a happy go lucky, healthy 3 1/2 year old
male. He gets along with other dogs, with cats and loves children. He does
have one odd fetish - he like to nibble on fingers when visitors come to his
house. So make sure you have some treats handy when you come to visit
Butch.

India India is a fawn female, very adorable and loves playing with her foster parents pugs. She is very energetic and cuddly as well as loving. |

Here is the process:
Step 1: Send in an Adoption Application and the $10.00 application fee to begin the process. We must receive the application and the application fee by mail to review your application. At this time, we cannot receive or review e-mail or electronic versions of the application. Please make sure you send a paper copy of the application in order to be considered for adoption.
Step 2: After we review and approve your application, we send your contact information to a volunteer who will contact you to schedule a homecheck. This is an interview conducted by the volunteer in your home. It is a chance for you to ask questions about rescue pugs, adoption, or SPR in general. It is also an opportunity for us to make sure that you can provide a safe place for a rescue pug to live. We schedule homechecks in the order that we receive applications, but we may give priority to families who wish to adopt a Helping Hands pug, one with severe medical conditions, or a pug that is difficult to place.
Step 3: After your homecheck, the volunteer will write a report that is submitted to SPR for review. After your homecheck report is approved by SPR, your family will go on the list with other families who are waiting to adopt a pug from Seattle Pug Rescue. We match each pug with the family that can meet the pug’s needs. When there is more than one family that matches with a pug, we contact the families in the order that they received a homecheck.
Step 4: When we find the perfect pug for you, we’ll contact you to discuss the pug’s needs and his adoption fee. If you want to adopt this pug, you will begin a two-week trial period where you can evaluate whether the pug is a good fit for your family. We have resources that are available to help you to make this a successful adoption. We will collect the Adoption Contract and the adoption fee when you pick up your rescue pug for the trial period.
Please be aware that this is a volunteer organization, and it may take us some time to respond to your questions. We will get back to you as quickly as possible. Thank you!
