Junior is a wonderful 3 year old Boy who came to us with severe cataracts in both eyes. UPDATE: Junior has had one cataract removed and can see with that eye for the first time in a long time! He is recovering nicely. Despite his medical challenges, he has a wonderful temperament. He really misses having his own family.
Junior has very good ‘pug form’ with his really curly tail and a little higher in the back end. Junior likes to play, walk, and loves to sit on your lap, or anywhere that he can be close to you
Winnie Pooh A fun loving, spirited girl
Winnie Pooh is a two-
She has lots of energy.... she would be a great little hiker. Because of her food aggression, Winnie will be placed in a home without children. The ideal family for her is one who is willing to follow the strict routine she needs or has no other dogs.

Rocky
Are you looking for a dog who will easily fit into your life and reward you with lots of love?
If so, then Scooter is the pug for you!
He is a very sweet and mellow older guy who happens to be blind. He's not your typical pug full of energy and always demanding your attention. He just wants to lay at your feet or in his bed and be near his people. He is fully housetrained, but needs help finding his way outside and back in again. He loves to sleep in his bed while you are at work.
He knows several commands and he's great on a leash. He loves his toys and treats. He gets frightened easily because of his blindness, so he would do well in a home without small children. He gets along great with cats.
Scooter is a Helping Hands dog! This means SPR will cover all of his medical bills – forever! Interested? Contact Sherry or Cathy.

Here is the process:
Step 1: Send in an Adoption Application and the $10.00 application fee to begin the
process. We must receive the application and the application fee by mail to review
your application. At this time, we cannot receive or review e-
Step 2: After we review and approve your application, we send your contact information to a volunteer who will contact you to schedule a homecheck. This is an interview conducted by the volunteer in your home. It is a chance for you to ask questions about rescue pugs, adoption, or SPR in general. It is also an opportunity for us to make sure that you can provide a safe place for a rescue pug to live. We schedule homechecks in the order that we receive applications, but we may give priority to families who wish to adopt a Helping Hands pug, one with severe medical conditions, or a pug that is difficult to place.
Step 3: After your homecheck, the volunteer will write a report that is submitted to SPR for review. After your homecheck report is approved by SPR, your family will go on the list with other families who are waiting to adopt a pug from Seattle Pug Rescue. We match each pug with the family that can meet the pug’s needs. When there is more than one family that matches with a pug, we contact the families in the order that they received a homecheck.
Step 4: When we find the perfect pug for you, we’ll contact you to discuss the pug’s
needs and his adoption fee. If you want to adopt this pug, you will begin a two-
Please be aware that this is a volunteer organization, and it may take us some time to respond to your questions. We will get back to you as quickly as possible. Thank you!

Googly is a very well behaved, outgoing, and friendly 4yr. old male who thrives on human attention, but also enjoys the playful company of the other pug in his foster home. He walks well on a leash, enjoys playing ball in the yard, and really loves chewing on Nylabones. Cuddled up contently in a lap or at your feet is where you will most likey find this little guy relaxing in the evening.

Frank

Cindy
Frank is 11 years old. He is a sweet boy but is not terribly mobile, so needs a home without stairs. Would be happy with a nice comfy bed and a person that would sit and watch Animal Planet with him.
Peggy & Maimee
Peggy & Maimie are both fawn females about 11 years old. They are in good health
for their age, both are a bit arthritic and one is hard of hearing. They are both
supposed to be housebroken, enjoy being around children, but have not been around
other dogs or cats. The couple that owned them, the wife recently passed and the
husband was not able to properly care for them alone. These grand pug ladies have
been together a long time -

Mr. Big is a handsome 7 year old pug with a big heart. But don't let his name fool you, he is not a really big pug. He is very sweet when he's getting his way, or if he feels like doing what you want him to do, but he can be a little stubborn. He is a mellow pug,, but he does like to play with his toys. He gets along with and enjoys being around the other dogs in his foster home.
Mr. Big knows basic commands to go outside, go to bed, up, and wait. He sits to
wait for his dinner, and waits to be invited on the sofa for snuggle time. He LOVES
to have his belly scratched and does the cute, head-

Sampson
Sampson is a 2 yr old male. Sampson is a very sweet and loving pug with lots of energy but he also loves to cuddle. He gets along great with people and dogs and is having a wonderful time playing with his foster brother. Sampson is really good in his crate, and will go in there to relax sometimes. Sam is pretty well house trained and does not mark indoors but needs regular walks and control of his water intake not to have accidents.
Sampson is a wonderfully loving little guy looking for a family to love him.

Cindy is a 6 year old female who was shy when she first came into the rescue, but when given time and space to adjust, turned out to be a very sweet dog.
She is very nervous around children, especially if they move to quickly towards her.
So, may do best in a home without younger children. She is well behaved, walks beautifully
on a leash and is housetrained. Cindy came in with some allergies that are easily
controlled with proper diet and TLC.

Spot is a 5 year old male that has recently gone blind from retinal degeneration. Initially scared due to the blindness, he has adapted quickly and now Spot is even managing stairs on his own. It is amazing how quickly animals adapt to handicaps like sudden blindness. Spot gets along with other dogs, so long as they are not alphas or significantly larger dogs, as he can sense their size. Spot has a long life to live and lots of love to give. Do you have room in your heart and home for a dog that many people will pass over due to his handicap.
